Timothy Spearman's best known work is Gandhi Under Cross-examination, which he co-authored with Col. G.B. Singh. Timothy is currently working on a radio drama about the real story of the Titanic called Olympic Ship of Fools. He is co-producer at Sevenhill Pictures, and was script editor of a documentary film Our Nation about the Sri Lankan civil war. Tim has written over 30 screenplays, including feature films and TV miniseries. Other novels published by the author include Goodbye Ruby Akhtar, Odds-on Favourite and Butterfly Dreams. He has published many illustrated children’s storybooks with Unibooks based in South Korea. He has hosted many radio programs over the years including The Truth Police on Freedom Talk Radio based in the UK and Shaking a Spear at Thatchannel in Toronto, Canada.

It's a story of a family who has been targeted by fanatical groups that claim they are Muslims and have to flee their home. Its a story of strength and true courage as a family faces barriers and obstacles within the agencies that are trying to "help" yet are so bureaucratic with their top down approaches they sometimes do more harm! This book opens the reader's eyes to look and hear beyond what the media wants us to see and hear! This is a heartfelt and true to life account of an Afghani family's ordeals due to the war and love and religion. The writer takes us deep into the hearts and minds of the local people, making them as alive as you or I. Told in different voices it achieves a multi-dimensional level which layer the story and make it stand out for us. It is a journey in to souls of various family members and also their relationships with stirring personalities, male and female who come into their lives. To get a sense of what it is to be Afghani and to live in a world so different from ours in the West, I would recommend this story.
